GLOW initiates the PROJECT SHINE

Project Shine is an initiative created to break the Cycle of Women's Marginalization and Degradation by providing women in India with an opportunity to have a good education, a real earning source, and an upgraded way of life. Under our expert team's guidance and training, our primary goal is to enhance their inner capability and talent to effectively guide them down the right path to success and financial independence. We want to help these girls thrive in the modern world and grow our network to empower women in and around their communities.

Our Goal

We started Project “SHINE” with the “Learn and Earn” approach. By teaching 50 women in Gurugram Sewing, IT and communication skills, we effectively teach them to thrive in the workforce and earn an income.

We hope to provide these women with tools needed to advance their knowledge in technology and otherwise.

In starting this project, we found this is the best way to integrate needed skill based training and create opportunities for women to achieve financial independence so they can grow and prosper.

Skill Education

Adding new skills or learning something new is directly proportional to increased employment. The government supports the learning of new skills as an advancement and advantage to society. Hence, we focus on teaching girls something new every time. Skill development is the key to improving household productivity, employability, and income-earning opportunities for women while enhancing sustainable rural development and livelihoods. Vocational training for women can help them raise their standards in employment opportunities. Teaching courses such as Computer Education, Soft Skills, Weaving & Stitching, Food Industry is critical for women's empowerment and growth and are various domains where women can show their skills and grow and learn and earn their livelihood. These women will progressively become more advanced in the field and will therefore be needed for their expertise as the world relies more towards technology.

Position In The Society…

Women often have different training needs than men since they are more likely to work as contributing family workers, subsistence farmers, home-based micro-entrepreneurs, or low-paid seasonal laborers, in addition to handling their domestic work and care responsibilities. The scenario of women is slowly changing in recent years. We can see a slow and steady rise of women in all fields. Today, women are not restricted to the roles of home and family caretakers. They are stepping out of their comfort zones to create a change and see the outside world. Now, it is our turn to take charge, lead our communities through growth, empower women, and inspire women's progress in all spheres of life.

A Source to Earning …

Today, in most urban households, women handle their duties and chores at home, manage a career outside their home, nurture their children, and balance their family lives with their professions. Modern-day women are independent. They boldly make the right decisions, bravely stand up for their rights, and persistently walk the path of success. These skills learned through Project Shine will increase confidence and provide an opportunity for income earning. A basic skill, when advanced and polished, can open the possibility for them to make a living from it.
